Principal filming is complete for FAUX. The cast and crew have been terrific and it’s been a pleasure to work with them.
Falling Up Sky Pictures’ website has been recently revamped and looks pretty neat. Additionally, there you can find further information about this project as well as previous and future. Plus a faux (ha, get it?) blog of one of the leads in the movie.
Slightly old news but note-worthy: Phil Elverum of The Microphones/Mount Eerie fame has allowed us to use selected works of The Microphones. He’ll be performing November 10th at the Bedlam Theater. I encourage any and all to check it out.
Publicity News:
Blurbs here and there.
FAUX officially has an IMDB page. It’s not 100% complete yet but at least this helps our credibility factor.
And through shameless self-promotion, you can find my personal page here
Recent Variety.com write-up
And Rogue Cinema
Fiiiinally, Christopher was a guest on “Fresh Fruit” Thursday night on KFAI. I was supposed to be interviewed with him but prior obligations prevented me from doing so. However, it’s still very much worth a listen to and can be found here
Thus far, the reception from others has been tremendously positive and it’s only going to get better once filming is complete!

The Show So Gay
The Show So Gay's latest podcast is now up featuring Chris and myself talking about FAUX. I haven't given it a listen but, judging from the interview, prepare for some slight awkwardness on our parts

Current Work
Currently I am assisting long-time friend Chris Beer in his latest film, FAUX. I will basically be his right-hand man contributing with the role of assistant production manager and basic publicity.
The heart of FAUX (French for "fake" or "false") consists of love lost, love regained, and love destroyed. It takes place during “America’s current perceptions of sexuality; specifically, the gay rights movement. It will center around Minneapolis’ own GLBT community and shall offer insight as well as provoke thought.”
For more information on FAUX or other work of Mr. Beer, I direct you to his website Falling Up Sky Pictures.
We are currently in negotiations with several generous individuals who have not only donated money but their time and effort. In addition, we have begun talks with several theaters for it's screening (tentatively April/May 2010) as well as GLBT community leaders to provide support both during and post production. On Tuesday we are sitting down with George Holdgrafer from Lavender Magazine. Additionally, earlier this week we sat down with Chris Durant from The Show So Gay for a podcast that will be posted next Monday.
